Here is a brief explanation of how our typical 5-day process works:
- Day One—The process begins with a complete physical including lab work, electrocardiogram (EKG), and CT or MRI scans as needed.
- Day Two—On the second day, you will sit down with a spinal surgeon from LSI to review the results of your physical and discuss which outpatient procedures will provide the best treatment for your condition(s).
- Day Three—On the third day, you will meet with your LSI nurse, anesthesiologist, and surgeon. Then the procedure is performed.
- Day Four—The fourth day is reserved for physical therapy. You will meet with a physical therapist who will formulate a unique plan to match your needs and then you will begin therapy. You also will have a post-op visit with an LSI physician.
- Day Five—Your last day includes more physical therapy and then you are released from LSI.
